If you want to enjoy the WWW the way the site designers intend, you really need to be running up-to-date browsers. Even if you have an older and slower computer, you should at the very least be running versions 3.0 of Netscape or Explorer.

Most people, however, can and should run versions 4.0 (or newer) of each of these leading browsers - consider installing whichever latest versions that your machine can support. Plug-ins

All the browsers come with certain plug-ins already installed, however, many people add additional plug-ins to extend the capabilities of their browsers as the need arises. NOTE: With Netscape, you can easily find out which plug-ins you already have installed by opening the "Help" pull down menu, then clicking on "About Plug-ins."
